‘Tis the season to play golf and raise money for charity… therefore the OD Pavilion Social and Shag Club’s Annual Gene “Tootie” Blair Memorial Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 24th, 2008, at the Crow Creek Golf Club on Highway 17 – starting time is 12:00 noon. The flyer and reservation form for the tournament is enclosed. This is our ANNUAL FUNDRAISER for the club that enables us to continue to support our charities throughout the year. Under the skilled guidance of our Golf Tournament Coordinator, Fred Bradley, we hope to raise enough money to support our charities the entire year with an additional donation at Christmas, but Fred can’t do it all by himself.
So members… it’s time to get involved!! Players – get your golf applications with handicaps for the golf tournament back to Fred as soon as possible; we want and need your participation… no gender or age limit… ladies, seniors, everyone is invited to play regardless of skill level. So invite your friends and family to play; it’s a fun tournament with lots of prizes, liquid sunshine, good friends, and a great golf course.
Hole sponsors, hole sponsors, hole sponsors… we want and need hole sponsors for this golf tournament… and lots of them! If each of us were to obtain just one hole sponsor from a merchant or business that you deal with on a regular basis, can you imagine the amount of money that could be raised for these very worthy causes. A hole sponsor form is enclosed for that reason… so let’s get BUSY and RAISE SOME MONEY!! Beat the bushes, talk to those merchants, and if they seem reluctant to donate $100 to sponsor a hole, ask them for a raffle prize instead (that form is also enclosed). CLUB MEMBERS ONLY: FOR A 3-HOLE SPONSOR-$300.00; YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR 2009 WILL BE WAIVED. FOR A 5-HOLE SPONSOR-$500.00-YOU PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT FREE PLUS YOUR 2009 CLUB MEMBERSHIP IS WAIVED. This year we will also have the availability of a Gold Sponsor, which will allow you to sponsor four players (not a team) for $350 plus a hole sponsor. Let’s make this the most successful charity golf tournament we’ve ever had.
And after all the golf tournament festivities are over, come on down to the OD Pavilion… special drink prices for all members and participants per H. Lee. See you on the fairways!!
